Vigorous growth outpaces monthly cutting in peak season

Rich Muir of Ord soil and a sheltered microclimate mean grass grows fast in May, June and July. Monthly cutting is inadequate through those months, the grass gets too long between visits and the cut looks poor. Fortnightly through peak season, monthly at the shoulders is the right rhythm here.

Longer driveways rut without proper sub-base

Long rural driveways on soft ground develop ruts and pooling within a couple of years if the sub-base was cut short. We build with proper depth of hardcore and effective drainage, so the drive still works a decade later.

Paddock and stock fencing needs species-appropriate spec

Standard suburban panel fencing is the wrong spec for a paddock boundary. Stock-fencing, post-and-rail or a proper rural boundary is what actually holds up, and we build to that spec rather than defaulting to close-board.

New-build plots arrive with rough finish

A lot of the newer Muir of Ord builds are handed over with rough hard-landscaping, cheap turf on poor soil, minimal boundary treatment, no proper patio. Finishing these plots properly is one of our common project types here.
