The Black Isle sits between the Beauly and Cromarty Firths in one of the most productive growing microclimates in the north, the peninsula is famously fertile and comparatively sheltered. That means fast, vigorous growth in-season, thicker hedging that needs more frequent trims, and generally more garden per hour of maintenance than an equivalent inland location.
