Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 9 July 2026
These terms apply to landscape gardening work quoted and carried out by NS & Sons Landscape Gardening ("we", "us") for a customer ("you"). By accepting a written quote you agree to these terms.
1. Quotes
Every quote is provided free of charge, in writing, and priced per job. Quotes are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated. Prices assume normal ground and access conditions; unforeseen issues discovered on site will be discussed and re-quoted before extra work is carried out.
2. Booking & scheduling
Work is booked in once you accept the quote. Weather-dependent work (patios, driveways, turfing, groundwork) may be rescheduled if conditions make good work impossible. We give as much notice as we can.
3. Site access & services
You are responsible for providing safe access to the working area and for marking any private drainage or cabling you are aware of. We will locate visible utilities before excavation but cannot be held responsible for unmarked services.
4. Materials
Materials are ordered once the job is confirmed. Custom-order items (specific slabs, blocks, timber, gates) are non-refundable once ordered.
5. Payment
Payment is due once the work is finished and signed off. We accept cash or bank transfer. On larger projects we may agree staged payments in writing before starting.
6. Snagging
Let us know within 7 days of completion if anything isn't right and we will return to put it right. We would rather come back than have you unhappy.
7. Ongoing maintenance rounds
Regular maintenance slots (fortnightly, monthly) run rolling, either side can pause or cancel at any time with reasonable notice. Missed access on a scheduled visit may still be chargeable.
8. Liability
We work to a reasonable trade standard and take care on your property. Our liability is limited to the value of the work quoted and does not cover indirect or consequential losses.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Scotland and any dispute is subject to the jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
