Aviemore sits at real altitude, 220m above sea level, with a genuinely alpine microclimate. Aviemore's growing season is genuinely shorter than the rest of the Highlands, mid-April to late September in a normal year. Standard 'March to October' cutting schedules waste money and stress the grass. We schedule to the actual local season, not a generic one.

Freeze-thaw destroys badly-jointed paving

Aviemore winters go through repeated deep freeze-thaw cycles. Patios and paths with wide joints and inadequate jointing compound crack and heave within two winters. Correct spec is materially different here from Inverness-city work.
