Overview

The service,
in plain terms.

What it is

Comprehensive clearance of an outdoor space, grass and brambles cut down, weeds pulled, unwanted shrubs removed, hard rubbish gathered, and all green and general waste taken away. The garden is handed back level, tidy and ready for whatever comes next.

Who it's for

Landlords needing an overgrown rental garden reset between tenants, house-movers presenting a property for sale or handing keys over on completion, executors clearing a probate property, and homeowners who've simply lost a summer or two to other priorities.

When you need it

Before a house goes on the market, at the end of a tenancy, before landscaping or building work starts, after storm damage, or whenever the garden has moved from 'a bit untidy' to 'genuinely unusable'.

Why professional matters

Attempting to clear a fully overgrown garden with a domestic mower and green-waste bin can easily take a homeowner several weekends and still leave problems. A single-visit professional clearance is faster, safer (nettles, brambles, hidden debris) and gets the waste properly disposed of.

What happens if you leave it

The cost of
putting it off.

Overgrowth compounds every year

One season of brambles becomes a wall of brambles next year. Left long enough, small saplings root in the lawn and start turning your garden back into scrub, full clearance gets much harder, and pricier.

It affects the sale of a house

A jungle-garden knocks visible value off a property, puts buyers off at first sight, and can hold up completion if the vendor is expected to hand over a maintainable garden.

Hidden hazards multiply

Broken glass, rusted metal, old animal waste, wasp nests and even discarded fly-tipping can hide in tall grass and brambles. Clearing it without proper kit is genuinely risky.

Why it's worth it

What you actually
get for the money.

One visit, done

Most standard-sized gardens are cleared inside a day. You don't lose four weekends and still not finish.

No skip needed

We take everything away in the van. You don't need a skip permit, kerbside skip, or garden-waste bin overflow.

Waste properly disposed of

Green waste to licensed composting, general waste to a proper waste-transfer station. No dumped bags in a lay-by.

Safe handling

Proper PPE, thorn-rated gloves, correct kit for brambles and nettles. Hidden hazards found and dealt with, not left for someone else.

Ready for what's next

The garden is handed back level and workable, perfect starting point for new turf, a patio, a fresh layout, or simply keeping it maintained.

Fixed price, no surprises

One quote, one total. You know the number before we start and the number is what you pay.

Our process

How the job
gets done.

  1. 01

    Site visit & fixed quote

For anything beyond a small patch, we visit in person, size it up, and quote a single fixed total for the clearance, no per-hour worry.

  2. 02

    Strim, cut & chop

Grass and brambles knocked down to ground level, unwanted shrubs cut back or removed, tree branches lopped where in the way.

  3. 03

    Gather & sort

Green waste separated from general rubbish, hardstanding cleared, hidden debris (bricks, glass, metal) collected safely.

  4. 04

    Load & remove

All waste loaded into the van and taken to a licensed disposal site. Green waste composted, general waste properly disposed of, nothing fly-tipped.

  5. 05

    Final tidy & handover

Ground raked level, paths and hard areas swept, garden handed back in a usable state. Photos before/after if you'd like them for records.

Typical clearance scenarios we handle

End-of-tenancy resets where a garden has been ignored for one or two tenancies and needs to look 'maintainable' again for the next let. Pre-sale tidy-ups where a property is going on the market and the garden is putting buyers off. Post-probate clearances where a family is emptying a house and needs the outdoor space handled at the same time. Storm-damage tidy-ups where fallen branches, blown-down fencing or torn-out planting need clearing before rebuilding. And straightforward 'we lost control of it' cases where an active family garden slipped over one summer.

What counts as 'clearance' vs a big tidy

A tidy-up means the garden was fundamentally in shape but needs bringing back on schedule, one long mow, edges done, weeds pulled. A clearance means the garden has been out of use: grass over knee height, brambles or gorse taking hold, shrubs collapsed, hidden rubbish. Clearances are priced and scoped differently, usually a single fixed job rather than a per-visit round.

What we do with the waste

Green waste is taken to a licensed composting facility. Non-green waste (bags of rubbish uncovered during clearance, old plastic garden furniture, broken pots) is taken to a proper waste-transfer station. We're not the cheapest option, but we also don't cut corners on disposal, no bags dumped in a lay-by, no rubbish left round the back of the shed 'for the council'.

What happens after the clearance

Most customers do one of three things: (1) put the garden onto a fortnightly maintenance round so it never goes backwards again, (2) commission landscaping, new turf, patio, fencing, starting from the cleared baseline, or (3) simply hand the property over (to a tenant, buyer or beneficiary) with a tidy garden and no need for further work. We can help with any of those next steps, or none, if you'd rather crack on yourself.

What clearance doesn't include

We don't handle asbestos, chemical or hazardous waste, if we find anything of that type during a clearance we'll flag it and recommend a specialist. Very large tree work (full felling of mature trees) is usually referred to a tree surgeon who can do it more safely and cheaply than we can. Straightforward sapling and small-tree removal is fine as part of the clearance.

FAQ

Common
questions.

Straight answers on cost, timing, materials and what happens after the job's done. Anything else, call 07398 794085.

How much does a full garden clearance cost?+
It depends heavily on the size of the garden, how overgrown it is, and how much waste needs removing. We visit and give a single fixed quote so you know the total upfront. Small clearances start relatively cheap; full jungle-gardens are naturally a bigger job.
How long does it take?+
Most standard suburban gardens are cleared in a single day. Larger or more overgrown plots may run to two or three days. We give you a realistic timeframe with the quote.
Do you need a skip on the drive?+
No. We take all the waste away in the van, so you don't need a skip permit or kerbside skip. That's usually cheaper than skip hire when you factor in permits and delivery.
Do you clear rubbish and rubble as well as green waste?+
Yes, general rubbish found during clearance (bags of household waste, broken furniture, old pots) goes with the green waste, disposed of properly at a waste-transfer station. There may be a small extra charge for very heavy or unusual material.
Can you clear a garden for a house sale or end of tenancy?+
Yes, that's a large portion of our clearance work. We can turn around a rental property quickly between tenants, or get a pre-sale garden looking presentable well before the photos are taken.
Will you remove trees and stumps?+
Small trees and saplings, yes. Fully mature trees are usually a tree surgeon's job, we'll flag it and can recommend someone. Stump removal is quoted separately from surface clearance.
Can I be given photos of the finished clearance?+
Absolutely, useful for landlords, executors and anyone handling the property remotely. Just ask us before we start and we'll send before/after shots when the work is done.
Which areas do you cover for clearances?+
Inverness, Nairn, Dingwall, Alness, Invergordon, Aviemore, the Black Isle, Muir of Ord, Beauly and surrounding Highland villages.
